Mid-century “Inga” low-back armchair by Danish Deluxe, made in Melbourne, c.1960s. One of the most recognisable Australian armchair designs of the period, featuring sculpted solid blackwood frames with generous proportions and a low-profile silhouette. The frame retains a beautiful original patina and timber grain, while the backrest has been professionally upgraded with new rattan by Camberwell Cane.
The original spring base remains in good condition and has been covered with new quilted fabric. New foam and upholstery have been completed by Hoy Upholstery in an olive green linen blend by Warwick. A beautiful example of vintage Australian furniture.
Condition: Excellent condition. Blackwood frames retain their original finish with light wear consistent with age, including a few bumps and minor scratches. New rattan, foam and upholstery.
Designer: Danish Deluxe
Materials: Solid blackwood, rattan, linen blend upholstery, springs, foam
Era: Mid-century modern / 1960s
